Pixar storytelling rules header - ninjas vs astronaut

Last year, Pixar story artist Emma Coats (@lawnrocket) tweeted 22 rules of storytelling like “give your characters opinions” and “no work is ever wasted.” Alex Eylar, aka ICanLegoThat, has illustrated twelve of those rules with Legos. He gave us the chance to premiere them at Slacktory.

“You admire a character for trying more than their successes”? Thats not always true… characters that are known for failing become pointless. See: Torchwood.

Counterexample: Indiana Jones. Fails through all of “Raiders”, but we love him because he tries hard. The Nazis constantly succeed, and that’s their undoing.
